Multiple devices & accounts
This is the part people ask about most, so here are the exact cases: running the show from several of your own devices, sharing to someone else, and what happens when two different accounts are involved.
Case A — one account, several devices
Example: you run the show on a laptop at FOH and also have it open on your phone in your pocket, both signed in to the same account.
- Your rundown, edits, current slot, cues and offset sync automatically between all devices signed into that account. Change something on the laptop and the phone catches up within a few seconds, and vice-versa.
- Sync is tied to your account, not to a share link. Both devices are full operators — either one can drive the show.
- Conflicts use last-write-wins: if two devices change the same thing at nearly the same moment, the most recent change wins. In practice, don't have two people fighting the same field at once.
- This needs you to be signed in and online. Offline, each device keeps working on its own copy and re-syncs when it reconnects.
This is the intended setup for “the SM has it on the tablet, I have it at the desk.” One account, as many devices as you like.
Case B — Account A shares to Account B (or to anyone)
Example: you (Account A) are the operator; the band, FOH or a guest opens your share link — whether they have their own account (Account B) or no account at all.
- They open the share link and get the read-only audience view. They see your live times, offset, cues and any riders you allowed.
- They cannot edit the show, cannot advance slots, and are not a second operator.
- Having their own account (Account B) makes no difference to what a share link shows — the link is public and read-only by design.
- Account B's own Show Clock data (their own rundowns) is completely separate. Opening your link doesn't mix your show into their account or vice-versa.
- There is currently no way to hand operator control to another account. Co-operating live means sharing one account across devices (Case A).
Known quirk: if you open your own share link while still signed in as the operator, the page may show both the operator shell and the audience view at once (“two timetables”). Anonymous viewers don't see this. To preview cleanly, use the Operator / Viewer toggle instead of opening your own link, or open the link in a private/incognito tab.
Case C — a viewer on several devices
A viewer can open the same share link on as many devices as they like; each just follows along independently. Nothing to configure.

Cross-device sync uses your account's server storage (up to 10 MB per tool). It needs a connection — see Working offline for what happens when it drops.
