FreqSense
Wireless-mic and IEM frequency coordination in the browser — your region's spectrum, safe windows, intermod checks and scan import, for any brand of gear.

FreqSense plans the wireless frequencies for a show. Pick the region you are standing in and it draws the spectrum: occupied TV channels, cellular blocks, guard bands and the licence-free gaps. Add your channels, and it finds the safe windows, flags intermod products and prints a coordination sheet.
Who it is for
- FOH and monitor engineers coordinating mics and in-ears before the truck leaves.
- Freelance techs who meet a different brand of receiver every week.
- Touring crews crossing borders who need several countries' rules in one place.
What makes it different
- Vendor-neutral. It does not care who made your receivers — and it still imports and exports Shure WWB and Sennheiser WSM plans.
- Eight regulatory regions. DE, UK, US, EU, FR, JP, AU and CA, each with its own band plan and authority table.
- Real scans. Drop in an RF Explorer, WWB or R&S FSH trace, or connect an RF Explorer over WebUSB for a live view.
- Field notes built in. Six cards on antennas, squelch, intermod, batteries, workflow and regulations — also published at /rf-cheatsheet/field-notes.
Pages in this guide
- Getting started — a coordinated plan in five minutes.
- Find safe windows and coordinate channels — safe windows, the channel packer and intermod.
- Import a scan or connect an SDR — importing scan files and the live SDR.
- Export to WWB, WSM and paper — WWB, WSM, CSV and the printed sheet.
- FAQ and Troubleshooting.
FreqSense is free with a Squaresmile account. It needs a tablet or a laptop; phones are too narrow for the spectrum view.
