What is BPM Tapper?

BPM Tapper is a free, browser-based tempo tool for musicians. Tap along to any song to detect its BPM, run a metronome, keep per-song setlists, calculate delay times, and tune your instrument — all in one page.

How does tap-tempo detection work?

You tap the button or press spacebar in time with the music. BPM Tapper averages the intervals between your taps to calculate the tempo, and rates how steady your taps are with a confidence bar.

Does it have a metronome?

Yes — a precise Web-Audio metronome with accented downbeats, a configurable count-in, six time signatures, and six click sounds (including custom uploads). Beat dots show your position in the bar.

Can I save setlists?

You can build multiple setlists, each holding songs with their own BPM, time signature and notes. Lock a list during a show so nothing changes, and export or import setlists as JSON to share or back up.

What's the delay calculator for?

It converts your BPM into exact delay and reverb times in milliseconds for every note value — whole, dotted and triplet — so you can dial in time-based effects that sit in the groove.
