Compress the sub.
Not the mix.

SubPress splits your signal at a variable crossover (40–400 Hz) to compress only the low band — keeping kick and sub energy locked down without ducking vocals, snare, or air.

01 / How it works

One crossover. Two jobs. Zero phase issues.

SubPress is not a full multiband compressor — it's a focused tool for the part of the mix that makes or breaks a track. It splits once, processes each band for what it actually needs, and recombines phase-coherently with no added latency.

02 / Features

Built for sessions where the low end makes or breaks the mix.

Variable Crossover

Set the split anywhere from 40 to 400 Hz to target exactly the band that needs control — sub, kick, or full low end.

40 – 400 Hz

Low-Band Compressor

Threshold, ratio, attack and release acting only below the crossover — lock down kick and sub without touching the rest of the mix.

Below crossover

High-Band Saturator

Drive harmonics into everything above the crossover to keep the top end alive, present and exciting after the low end is controlled.

Above crossover

Phase-Coherent Recombination

The two bands sum back together with no phase smearing and no added latency — what comes out is tight, not hollow.

Zero latency

Mono-Low Maker

Collapse everything below the crossover to mono for a centred, club-ready bottom end and translation across systems.

Independent of high band

Built for Live

Low-latency and CPU-light — runs comfortably inside Live Professor and other live hosts for front-of-house and monitor duties.

04 / FAQ

Questions, answered.

What formats and systems does SubPress support?
SubPress ships as VST3 and AU (Audio Unit) for both macOS and Windows, so it loads in virtually any modern DAW or live host.
Is it really zero latency?
Yes. SubPress uses a phase-coherent crossover with no lookahead, so it introduces no additional latency. That is what makes it safe to use on live inputs and front-of-house busses.
Can I use it in a live rig?
Absolutely — it is designed for it. SubPress is low-latency and CPU-light, and runs comfortably inside hosts like Live Professor for front-of-house and monitor processing.
How is this different from a normal multiband compressor?
SubPress is not trying to be a do-everything multiband. It splits once at a variable low crossover, compresses only the low band, and saturates the high band — fewer controls, faster decisions.
What does the Mono-Low button do?
It collapses everything below the crossover to mono while leaving the high band stereo image untouched — a tight, centred low end that translates well on club and PA systems.
How do I buy and get updates?
SubPress is sold through Gumroad as a one-time $39 purchase. You get instant access to the installers, and future updates are free for license holders.
