Import from your other tools

Pull the input list from Stage Plot Generator, frequencies from FreqSense, the power total from PowerSense and set lengths from SetlistForge — through a preview, and with a warning when a source changed.

Open RiderSmith

On this page
  1. The input list from Stage Plot
  2. Labels in the rider's language
  3. When a source changed

Every section that another Squaresmile tool already knows has an Import from … button. Nothing lands in the rider until you have seen it: each import opens a preview where you tick the rows to take, then Import selected.

Section Source What comes across
Input list Stage Plot Generator Channels with source, mic or DI, stand, +48V, insert and who provides it (band or venue)
Wireless FreqSense The frequencies of the plan you pick
Power PowerSense One line per rig — the real draw and the safety margin, with a warning when a feed is overloaded — and the site total
Schedule SetlistForge Set lengths — "Set 1 — 12 × · 48 min" — and the breaks; the time column stays for you to fill in

FreqSense and PowerSense are free. Stage Plot Generator and SetlistForge are paid tools, and SetlistForge is read from your account, so its account sync has to be on.

The input list from Stage Plot

  • Which plot? Pick the working plot or any save slot. Stage Plot's File → Open input list in RiderSmith… brings you here with the preview open.
  • Only your plot. On a shared computer RiderSmith offers only the plots that belong to the account you are signed in with.
  • Importing again updates. Channels that are already in the rider are updated by channel number instead of being added a second time.
  • The preview is careful. Rows without a channel number and monitor outputs arrive unticked, and if a plot has more rows than a rider takes, the preview says so instead of cutting silently.
  • The plot itself goes in as a picture: Export PNG in Stage Plot, then Attach image… on the Stage plot section.

Labels in the rider's language

The labels RiderSmith writes into imported rows — "Set 1", "Break", the power total — follow the rider's language, not the language of your interface. What came from the source tool (channel names, rig names, song counts) stays as it was.

When a source changed

Each imported section shows when it was imported. How RiderSmith notices a later change depends on the source:

  • Stage Plot input list — checked against your account, so you see "⚠ The plot changed on … — import again" wherever you are signed in.
  • FreqSense and PowerSense — checked against the plan stored in this browser, so the warning appears on the device you planned them on.
  • SetlistForge — no warning; import again when the set changed.
